ASPHALT RECYCLING
Asphalt and Concrete Recycling Program
All trucks must stop at the scale with their load of waste material and come into the office.
This is a requirement for every load of waste material that you dump, there are no exceptions.
Restrictions:
⁃ Maximum size of broken concrete and asphalt is 2’ x 2’ x 8", NO EXCEPTIONS.
⁃ Any waste material that is larger than 2’ x 2’ x 8" or any material other than broken/waste concrete, broken/waste asphalt or base rock, will be classified as garbage and will be charged at a rate of $100 per ton, with a 1 ton minimum.
⁃ No petromat or exposed steel.
Cost to dump waste material:
⁃ $15 per ton with the purchase of new material – to qualify, you must purchase a minimum of 4 tons of new material, *Excluding Fine Bank Run.
⁃ $28 per ton without the purchase of new material.
Procedures for dumping waste material:
Without purchasing new material:
⁃ 1) Weigh in at the scale with a load of waste material and notify the office.
⁃ 2) Dump waste material in the designated area.
⁃ 3) Return to scale to get a tag and/or pay.
Procedures for dumping waste material:
With purchasing new material:
⁃ 1) Weigh in at the scale with a load of waste material and notify the office.
⁃ 2) Dump the waste material in the designated area.
⁃ 3) Return to the scale to get a tare weight.
⁃ 4) Get new material.
⁃ 5) Return to scale to get a tag and/or pay.
* If you have multiple loads during a single day: After you have dumped your first waste load, returned to the scale, and been given a tare weight, you will not need to return to the scale to get a tare weight, unless your original tare weight has changed. You may proceed to get new material loaded then return to the scale to pay.
